From 26th April 2008:

"i think some of us have reached this stage where we are so stressed till we don't feel like studying. well, it's normal i guess. i get moments when i feel like that. but tell yourself that it will be over soon!

it's like running long distance (in a way). you know it's going to be long and tiring. but the faster you run, the better your timing will be and you know that you are not going to regret putting in so much effort. but if you don't even try, then you cannot say anything about yourself after the race is over. sweat it all out (then enjoy)!

who cares what people say right? i know it might be hard to ignore some nasty comments here and there but come on, it's your life! YOU live it.

all my lovely lovely friends out there, know that i'll always be there for you if you're feeling too stressed and need a break (or you can have a kit kat :D)! it's a crucial time. support one another, lend a listening ear, render your help, MAKE SOMEONE'S DAY!

love you all! (:"

That's quite applicable now right (:

From 15th July 2008:

"training was more high than it has ever been. almost everyone in my batch broke out in song, regardless of how horrible it sounded (and oh gosh, it was horrible). i could not stop laughing and i think many of the others too, although some times, it wasn't all that funny. but really, who cares? i take pride in laughing till my jaws and cheeks ache. the kind of laughter that does not take into consideration what others think of you and all the trash in your life. yes, that is best."

I used to have such passion for softball, and frankly speaking, I miss it. Those times on the field when we went crazy together as a batch are priceless.

From 26th July 2008:

"THREE OF YOUR EVERYDAY ESSENTIALS:
1. people i love
2. laughter
3. reassurance that the Lord is with me

THREE THINGS YOU WANT IN A RELATIONSHIP:
1. love
2. trust
3. tolerance

THREE THINGS YOU WANT TO DO BEFORE YOU DIE:
1. be entirely faithful to the Lord
2. love
3. be loved"

Wow. So many things have happened between then and now.

From 2nd August 2008:

"high in Your kingdom, You are the only One who reigns
high in the Heavens, You're the only worthy of praise
high in my heart, i've carved Your name for eternity
'cause Jesus You're the only one
for me
"

Oh my gosh I forgot I even wrote this song before! Tried searching for the lyrics online then I suddenly remembered that I wrote this myself :O

From 21st November 2008:

"I was showering and wondering how I should begin this post, or what this post should revolve around. The post that's going to shout in my face that some wonderful things have become history. The post that's going to hit me with waves of nostalgia. The post that might be one great motivation to me in the near future.

Then I realised that all these events & happenings wouldn't have been possible without my Father in Heaven. He directs my life, and He blesses it, not only with joy but with challenges which I desperately need to learn from.

I thank God.

I thank God for FAM08! Number one, it has been the most inspirational, most stressful, most enriching, most memorable, most fun & doubtlessly the best experience throughout my 3 years in RG so far.

I positively say that I've enjoyed every second of planning FAM08, even though there were definitely no lack of problems we had to deal with. From the serious lack of sponsors to the rather last-minute changing of almost the entire programme lineup to the nerve-wreckingly late release of the ballroom, it was all pretty stressful but well, every organising team will face challenges of their own.

The night went so much better than I thought. It was awesome. We started 20 minutes late, but ended half an hour early, hooray for inclusion of buffer time. I must admit that I got weary and tired halfway through and I really shouldn't have, but it was great, anyhow. Only glitch was the food which weren't so great (who knows why) but that doesn't really fall under our jobscopes 'cause we weren't in charge of preparing the food (thank goodness for that).

After the whole event when all the lights came on and everyone stood up to mingle or continue their photo-taking sessions (which never really stopped anyway), I just sat there, in front of the ballroom, taking in all that was in front of my eyes. No longer afraid to admit that I nearly teared. At that moment, I guess I was very overwhelmed by emotions and it was honestly difficult for me to digest the fact that FAM had ended.

Sincere and immense gratitude goes out to FAM OT '08 (who are never going to read this but I must must must say this). What can I say? You guys were fantastic. Even better than fantastic. All the planning, sourcing for sponsors, inviting performers, liasing with people, getting equipment and so much more was a ton of work thrown at us. But you guys are the ones who really rocked it. Though it wasn't our FAM, to me, you guys rocked it okay. When I think back about the time and effort you all have put in, I feel that I have done nothing at all. If I had to list out everything wonderful you people accomplished, this blog post will never end, but just know that I had a good time working with you guys and I am so glad that I have found friendships with some of you.

Though post-mortem pretty much meant that FAM really IS OVER, it gave me a great sense of satisfaction, in a strange way.

It has been the most memorable experience of my secondary school life and believe me, I wouldn't trade anything for it.

I thank God for the rare opportunity to work with ACRES (Animal Concerns & Research Education Society). It reminded me of how much I do care about animals. Yeah, I know, never would have seen me as an animal person but yup they are important to me.

Helping out at the AVA be a responsible pet owner roadshow is probably the most meaningful thing I'm going to do this holidays (now that I can't go for Lync camp and softball trip is off and... etc etc, okay sad things aside). It was an extremely enriching experience and I would most definitely jump at another chance to do it.

Thankfully, my journey with animals isn't going to stop there! Well, have been to SPCA a couple of times lately to help out with some paperwork and play with the adorable animals. PLUS I am going to ACRES next week from Monday to Thursday to volunteer, so I'm really excited about that!! Definitely not forgetting my Cmps project on shark conversation, yes yes!

But really. Who cares if my mummy doesn't allow me to keep a pet? It's not going to stop me from wanting to make a difference regardless of how small it's going to be.

I thank God for loving family & friends. I don't really have anything to say about this. Except for the fact that I love all those around me tons and tons and I can never describe how grateful I am for them.

Also, I was on the train some time ago and I inevitably noticed how lovingly a grandmummy was looking at her children and grandchildren. For some time on the train, I just felt an inexplicable sense of joy wash over me. How amazing and powerful is love!

& I thank God for all the blessings."

It was an eventful year (:

From 1st May 2009:

"& today. Today was enjoyable. Who knew we could talk for so long. I'm glad we have a... connection (or at least I think we do). Now slightly sunburnt but happy about today."

This is what we were before. One day we might find that connection and be amazing friends again.

From 1st June 2009:

"I feel horrible, yes I do. But as selfish as this sounds, thank you for removing this burden I've been carrying for the past - oh I don't know, many months? And I hope it is some kind of release for you too? I will probably never be able to forgive myself for hurting you so much, so don't try making me do so. But you should know that you are irreplaceable to me, regardless of what happened/happens.

And another thing I have to thank you for, is for understanding me. And for being right about so many things I'm probably too ashamed to admit.

And thank you for your sincerity and kindness.
This is why I don't doubt you. It might be foolish of me, but then I will myself to be foolish, just this once."

This is what we were before but now we're best of friends (: I still will myself to be foolish and not to doubt you, because I have faith in you.

From 1st July 2009:

"You're somewhere in dreamland now. And while your heart is stable, mine on the other hand, races, for you. No matter how unlikely things might be, let's just talk about the future anyway. Because it makes us happy now, and I'd like us to live in the moment. My only fear now is that I can't give you as much as I'm taking from you. Or that this was all a dream/game/act. I miss you."

We lived in the moment and we were happy. So let's be happy that we once had it and remember the good times not the bad (:

It's so weird reading my old posts again!! And, I can't believe I used to be so retarded and lame on my blog in '06 and '07 :O
